More Info: Familia Schroeder’s winery and the surrounding vineyards are located in San Patricio del Chañar, at 39 degrees S. Latitude, in northern Patagonia. The winery, built on a gentle slope overlooking the vineyards, consists of different levels that allow for gravity-led winemaking. When construction began to build the winery, the remains of a large dinosaur was unearthed, which inspired the Saurus brand. The gravelly soils combined with warm, dry days and cool nights provide near perfect conditions for grape cultivation.
