More Info: Family-run since 1920, Château Coutinel has grown across generations into a vibrant wine estate with its own distillery and a fresh, modern range alongside the classics. Certified organic since 2021, the vineyard spans 50 hectares, planted mainly to local red grapes (Négrette, Braucol, Cot (Malbec) and Gamay), plus a dash of white varieties.
Set in a semi-continental pocket tempered by both Atlantic breezes and Mediterranean warmth, the site is ideal for slow, expressive ripening. Recent investment in smaller tanks allows precise, single-parcel vinification and tighter temperature control, bringing extra clarity and finesse to each cuvée. The team is also trialling PIWI (fungus-resistant) varieties to champion sustainability without sacrificing character.
