Tasting Notes: From organic vineyards in Sicily, this ruby-red Nero d’Avola shows violet hues and aromas of dark cherries and bramble fruits. Medium-bodied on the palate with juicy cherry jam and raspberry flavours, finishing with a touch of spice. Balanced acidity, ripe fruit, and soft tannins make it wonderfully approachable.

More Info: Mondo del Vino is an Italian cooperative focussed on creating high quality Italian wines. Founded in 1991 by oenologists Alfeo Martini, Roger Gabb and Christophe Mack who came together with the aim of coming up with new ways to produce and market Italian wines. Today, grapes are carefully selected for the best quality by oenologists through direct agreements with cooperatives and private companies and they control every stage of the winemaking process from fermentation to ageing, bottling and branding. With grapes grown on the Agrigento hills at 200-300m with shallow soils of with some calcareous clay, organic matter and iron, all of which helps create elegant yet full bodied wines with great balance.
