More Info: Discover the elegance of this single-varietal Jaen, known as Mencía across the border in Galicia. Grown in the warmer heart of Portugal’s Dão region, the grapes are handpicked with care before a cool fermentation in stainless steel preserves their vibrant, fresh fruit character. Gentle pump-overs ensure a light, delicate extraction, while 8 months of lees ageing bring texture and depth.

Cas’Amaro – Organic Portuguese Winemakers

Cas’Amaro craft organic, artisanal wines across five estates spanning Portugal’s most celebrated regions: Vinho Verde, Douro, Dão, Alentejo and Lisboa. With 62 hectares under vine, their philosophy is simple yet powerful — to work in harmony with nature. Each vineyard is farmed with minimal intervention, fostering biodiversity and nurturing healthy ecosystems, while remaining true to Portuguese traditions by championing only indigenous grape varieties.

But Cas’Amaro’s dedication goes far beyond the vineyard. Deeply rooted in their community, they exclusively employ locally, supporting families and strengthening the rural economy. They also give back through free activities for schools, day centres, associations and nursing homes, weaving social responsibility into the very fabric of their work.

The result? Wines of place and purpose — authentic, sustainable, and full of the character of Portugal.
