More Info: Monbazillac is a famous region located near Bergerac that’s particularly well known for its sweet dessert wines. More affordable than Sauternes, and made in the same way, with the mainly Semillon grapes being affected by botrytis (noble rot) brought on by the humidity and morning fogs in autumn. After hand harvesting and gentle pressing, the must is fermented in a mixture of vats and oak barrels.
