More Info: Gonzalo Gonzalo grew up on his parents' vineyard near Fuenmayor, La Rioja. He studied biology at the University of Leon and then oenology at the University of Rioja before traveling around Europe learning about grape varieties and different winemaking techniques.
Using his knowledge and skills, he now farms his parent's land without the use of chemicals and is dedicated to environmentally conscious winemaking.
The iconic wine label displays a 'gran cerdo' or 'big pig', aimed at the bank managers who refused to invest in his business. Although you won't find any information about the wine itself on the label, Gonzalo Gonzalo's ranting is an entertaining read.
