Tasting Notes: A dry white with aromas of citrus, lime and honeysuckle. The palate is wonderfully textured with notes of ripe, honeyed fruit alongside a touch of minerality and grassiness. A complex, serious white that's aged beautifully in bottle.

Region: Bordeaux, France

Varieties: 2/3 Sauvignon Blanc and 1/3 Old Vine Sémillion
ABV: 13%
Closure: Cork with wax seal

Pairing: A classic Sunday roast with all the trimmings or hard cheeses.

More Info: The Abbey at Grande-Sauve is set on a small hill overlooking the vineyards where La Pelegrine is created. Named after the pilgrims that set out on their pilgrimage route from there to Santiago de Compostella, this wine tells a story of discoveries and pushing boundaries.

Grapes are harvested in the early hours of the morning before undergoing a short period of skin contact. The wine is partially fermented in French oak and aged on the lees with regualr stirring until the end of November.
