More Info: Biodynamically grown fruit from strictly controlled yields are aged in large, oak barrels to give this Bordeaux Supérieur a subtle vanilla flavour and creamy texture.
Having converted to organic farming in 1997, the team at Chateau Couronneau developed innovative working methods, focusing on the needs of the vine. They have since turned to adopting biodynamic techniques, paying attention to preserving the soil's properties as well as gaining a better understanding of nature's cycle.
Pruning encourages small yields to focus on quality rather than quantity. At 185 meters above sea level, the clay-limestone soil promotes the absorption of nutrients by the vines.
With a minimal approach in the winery, using indigenous yeasts, light pumping over and little to no sulphur addition, the wines are a pure expression of the terroir.
