More Info: The grape varieties used in this blend are hybrid varieties from Germany also known as 'PIWI' grapes. 'PIWI' is an abbreviation of the German 'Pilzwiderstandsfähige Reben', which translates as fungus-resistant vines.
These hybrid varieties have been created from multiple crossings of traditional varieties in order to produce grapes with a stronger resistance to diseases and frost.
The Muscaris is a cross between Solaris and Muscat while the Souvignier is a cross between Seyval Blanc and Zähringer.
The Domaine La Colombette is a fourth-generation family run estate facing the Mediterranean sea. Francois Pugibet and his son Vincent are progressive winemakers, focusing largely on the reduction of alcohol in wine as well as developing hybrid varieties that allow for fully organic viticulture.
