More Info: Grillo is a Sicilian variety that is a crossing of Catarratto and Zibibbo. It almost exclusively grows in western Sicily, and is famous for its use in the production of Marsala wine. 'Agramante' is the name of the King of Africa, who was Charmelagne's fiercest opponent in the "Orlando Furioso" epic poem. The label depicts Orlando at Charlemagne's court, protecting Paris from siege.

Volcanic soils and a maritime influence combine to impart a distinct elegance and mineral character upon the island's wines. Notable for its range of local varieties with Nero d`Avola and Nerello Mascalese making reliable, fleshy red wines, whilst Catarratto, Grillo and Inzolia yield surprisingly well balanced and flavourful white wines.
