More Info: At the beginning of the summer of 2008, the Polkura Hill suffered a bush fire that threatened the vineyard and the Malbec plantings in particular. Thanks to the many neighbours that came to the rescue, a disaster was avoided and the Malbec grapes survived. These grapes would usually be used as a blending component to the Polkura Syrah but after this event, they decided to bottle the lucky Malbec on its own.
