More Info: You can find the Vale Vineyard (Gwinllan y Dyffryn), in the beautiful Vale of Clwyd. It's run by Gwen and Rhys Davies, the first grape farmers in the region. Both grew up on local farms and studied at agricultural college before long and varied careers in the agricultural community.
Gwen manages the day to day management of the vines and business but the entire family is involved, particularly on harvest days when they bring together wider family and friends to hand pick their precious crop.
They produce a range of boutique wines that can be purchased directly at the cellar door and they offer vineyard tours and tastings.
