More Info: Wairau River takes its name from the river that flows through the heart of Marlborough’s wine country – Wairau meaning “many waters” in Māori. The Rose family were early pioneers here, planting vines in the 1970s and originally selling their grapes to leading wineries such as Cloudy Bay before launching their own label in the early 1990s.
Today, their vision has grown into one of Marlborough’s largest independent estates, still very much family owned and run. The wines are elegant, expressive and unmistakably Marlborough, showcasing the region’s vibrant, pure fruit character.
